Anti-Ragging Committee

The Anti-Ragging Committee of the College has been constituted in accordance with the guidelines and regulations issued by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and the directions of the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India to ensure a safe, welcoming, and ragging-free campus environment.

Ragging in any form is strictly prohibited within and outside the College campus. The Committee is responsible for taking preventive measures, creating awareness among students, monitoring areas where incidents of ragging may occur, and addressing any reported cases promptly and appropriately.

The Committee promotes mutual respect, dignity, empathy, inclusiveness, and responsible behaviour among students. It also works towards ensuring the safety, security, and well-being of all students, with particular attention to the needs of newly admitted students.

Objectives

• To create and maintain a ragging-free environment in the College through effective implementation of anti-ragging rules and regulations.
• To create awareness among students about the harmful effects of ragging and its physical, psychological, and emotional consequences.
• To educate students about the legal and disciplinary consequences of ragging and promote a culture of mutual respect and dignity.
• To promptly receive and address complaints or reports of ragging and recommend appropriate action in accordance with applicable rules and regulations.
• To monitor areas and situations on campus that may be vulnerable to incidents of ragging and take appropriate preventive measures.
• To provide necessary support, guidance, and counselling to students affected by ragging and ensure their safety and well-being.
• To organize awareness programmes, orientation sessions, and other activities to sensitize students, particularly newly admitted students, about anti-ragging measures.
